E.Bash Texas Update

Hey Y’all .. I’m going to make this update short and sweet considering the really bad weekend that I had.  Saturday morning I got to the track around 7:30 just in time for the riders meeting that begun at 8:00. With my gallon of water in my hand I was getting prepared for one really hot and humid day. The weatherman said that Saturday was going to be 100 degrees with 95% humidity.  So as it was time for the first WMX practice to take off and all I had in mind was to go out there and put in a few solid fast laps and then take the rest of the time to look for different or better lines. I ran 3rd most of the practice and at the end when it was all said and done I finished 6th and that would also be my gate pick.

I lined up for moto one and was feeling really confident and knew that I needed to get a good start so I could run up there with the top girls. I came around the first turn in 4th place and made a few minor mistakes on the first lap that led me to get passed by a few girls. I rode a really strong moto and had really good battle with Sara Price who is number 4 on the Kawasaki. It was so hot after that race, I quickly got back to the rig to get cooled off and rehydrated for moto 2 that was coming up in a quick few hours.

Moto two was even hotter than the first moto but I knew that all the girls were going to have to suffer the heat just like me. I got out to a 3rd place start and was in a good position and again made a mistake and slid out around a turn and Vicki Golden and Sara Price got by me. Again me and Price were battling it out and I was going to pass her through the sand section before the finish line and that’s where it all went wrong. I swapped and down I went. I ended up dislocating my shoulder and not able to finish the race. I want to thank Dr. Bodner for fixing me up at the track.  That was the roughest track I have ever ridden in my life, but I think the Miller family did an awesome job with the whole race that weekend.

I hopped on a plane Sunday morning to flying back home to California to go to the doctors Monday first thing to find out about my shoulder and make sure that everything was ok.  I went to see Dr Rieman who is a really good moto doctor and there we took some x rays and he sat down and told me that my shoulder was broken. Like all girls do I cried and cried.. He told me that I was going to be out for a while.

It’s been well over a week now and I’m feeling a lot better. I am in the process of doing some serious therapy with under the direction of Dr Navarro to try and get better sooner and get that number 5 machine back on the track. I really don’t know when I going to come back. It will all depend on how I feel and how the X rays look in a few weeks when I go back to the doctor. So in the mean time I will be working on my tan and still training so when its time for me to race I will be ready!!!

I want to again thank all my sponsors

Canard Racing, Team TISCO Racing, MSR, Pro Skin, Eleven 10 Mods, DRD, Dunlop, Decal Works, Shoei, Alpinestars, Leatt Brace, Tagger Designs, Temecula Motorsports, Devol, Boyseen, K&N, Silkolene, Vortex, Odi Grips, EBC Brakes, Cycra, ARC Levers, Spy, SDG Seats, Honda West, Stomp Vortex, NACCO, Icw, Hyde racing Gamble guest care, my parents and little brother and my wonderful boy friend Charles.

E. Bash Update from Hangtown

I told you guys that I would be back with an update from every national this year. This past weekend was Round 1 of the WMX series at Hangtown near the big city of Sacramento. My mom and I packed up the van and drove up on Thursday. Just say it was a girl’s road trip and I have never sung that much in my whole life.  We arrived in Sacramento and instead of going to the hotel; we decided to go do a little shopping. Thank god for good discounts that Kohl’s has because my mom and I spent A LOT of money.

Friday was the first time that I went to the track and met my new team (TISCO RACING) and teammates. I was a little nervous but they made my feel like I was part of the team already. I did all the things that I needed to do and then it was time to pick up my boyfriend Charles and my little brother Cameron from the Airport. We ate dinner at the Outback and then went to bed.

I woke up Saturday Morning and was ready to go and just wanted to get out there in practice and learn the track and put in some fast laps. I had a little issue in practice but managed to pull off and place 10th in the qualifying times.  All 30 girls lined up for the first moto not knowing how they were going to stack up against the other girls. I knew going into the moto that I have a really fast bike thanks to Eleven 10 Mods for building me a super fast motor. Gate dropped and I got a 5th place start and rode really tight the first moto and ended up 8th.  I came off the track and went over a few things that needed to be changed before moto two.  I can’t thank my boyfriend Charles enough for making sure my bike was clean and ready. Oh yeh today was his 25th Birthday.  Second moto came quick and I again tried to focus on getting a good start and just ride to the of best my ability.  I came around the first turn around 6th and made a pass and got in 5th and just was strong the whole moto and ended up getting 4th. I was very happy with my weekend because I made it out safe and with no injuries and was in 6th in points. I’m ready for Texas to come in a few weeks and I know what I need to work on to make me faster.

Thanks for reading my update and I will be writing my new up date soon. Thanks to all my sponsors for all the help they have given me so far this year.

MAY 2010

I just signed on to ride for Roy Thacker's TISCO Racing team with big time backing from Trey Canard (Canard Racing).

Trey and his family really stepped it up this year to make sure I would have the equipment needed to race the WMX outdoor nationals.

Chad Sanner from Eleven10 Mods and the Honda of Troy team will be building my engines, I can't wait to ride my race bike.  Those bikes have been holeshotting like crazy in the East Coast Lites SX this year, it is going to be sooo fast!!

For gear I am back with MSR, Shoei, Alpinestars and Leatt Brace again.  I was able to keep a lot of my personal sponsors, but added a few from the TISCO team.

Be sure to check out the sponsor page and visit some of their websites!

Off Season Update !!
After the last round of our series at Steel City, I have just been trying to get things figured out for the 2010 season. It's going to be a really tough year for our sport and I'm just trying to find sponsors that are willing to support me through these tough times. I've been riding a few days a week and getting back at the gym. I'm going to start training really hard during this off season so I will be ready in time for the first national. I have been doing a lot of things during the off season that are not motorcycle related.

I've recently bought a new puppy Missy. She is a chocolate lab girl that is full of energy. I also have a boy Lab named Buster that has a new sister to play with.  I treat my dogs as if they were my kids. haha.

I have joined a soccer team with a lot of my good friends that I played with in high school. We are currently in first place with 2 more games to go. Me and my Boy friend Charles have been together for almost 5 years and are now in the process of buying our first home. It is a lot of work and very stressful but I'm sure after we get it and in it will be awesome.

The last thing that I have done over the off season is I have taken a Veterinary Assistant course and have passed it and got my certificate to one day get a job in a vets offices or anywhere that deals with animals. I'm looking forward to having a great 2010 year on and off the track..

I will be back in a little while with a new update ... Thanks

WMA Update

The first 3 rounds of the Wma series have been pretty consistent. I have got 6th overall at every round. The first round at Glen helen was a good start for the season. In the timed qualifying practice I was 4th. Glen helen is my home track and i knew if I could get 2 good starts, I would be fine. Well there were 2 really bad starts and I had to pass a few girls the finish 7-5. That whole next week I really worked on my starts and being more aggressive and was ready for hang town. Me and my boy friend Charles and my mom drove up there. I was really excited and not as nervous as i was at glen helen. My starting skills there were even worse then they were at Glen helen. I'm not really sure on what my deal was. But overall I rode pretty good and was strong the entire moto. Freestone was the 3rd round of the wma series. It was really hot and how the schedule played out for that day.. We had to ride the track after the guys motos. We for sure saw the track at its roughest. I improved allot on my starts and both motos.  I was top 5 on the start instead of last 5. I rode really tight the first moto and got tired with a few laps to go. Second moto was much better for me. I rode calm and was strong the whole moto. My lap times were very consistent and were on one second off from the start to the finish.

Check back for up dates on the next few rounds...

March 2009 Lake Whitney
I spent 2 days driving to Texas and was ready to get out on the track to moto. I have been riding so good at home and was ready... If you haven't been to Texas before, it can rain at any second.. It rained pretty much the entire time I was there. Us California people are not very good mud riders.. I got 2 ok starts and rode my best that i could for being muddy. I ended up finishing 4th overall. The weather really killed everybody mood and we all wanted the week to be over.. I was really looking forward to Oak Hill the next week..

March 2009 Oak Hill
The second week of our Texas trip was a the GNC @ Oak Hill mx. The weather was looking good all week and so I was excited. Practice went really good. In the first moto I started 3rd and made a few mistakes and ended up going down 2 times.. I got up and was able to salvage a 3rd place.. The second moto was at the end of the day and the track was really rough.. I knew that a few of the girls weren't in the best of shape.. Got out of the gate in 2nd and rode hard the entire time. I have a really good battle with one of the other girl riders. I knew I was stronger than her and as soon as I could make the move I was gone.... I ended up going 3-3 for a 3rd overall.
I will be getting back home and training and riding 24/7 .... I will be ready for Glen Helen in may... Please check back then for more update....

5 Sep 08 ... Season Wrap Up

The season is coming to an end and I just finished off the last 2 rounds of the wma series. Southwick was the 5th round of the series and it went ok. I didn't get the best of starts for either moto but had to work my way up to finish 8th overall. This was the first year that the women have got the opportunity to ride that really rough track. I really enjoyed that track and I am hoping that we race there in the 09 series. Steel City was the last round. A few days before the race it rained a lot and I was thinking to my self not a mud race again. The weekend came and the track was awesome . They had made allot of big changes to the track which made the lap times a little longer. I was coming in to this last round in 8th overall and was behind 7th by 3 points. I was bound and determined to beat that 7th place girl.  I finished 9-8 for an 8th overall for the day. But in the series i ended up taking 7th in the series. I was really happy that i finished off healthy and am proud of my self for getting back out there this year after what I went through at the beginning. I'm now talking a week or to off and trying to get stuff figured out for next year.

Washougal and Loretta Lynn's update

I have been on the east coast for a while now and have been hitting up the outdoor nationals. We drove the motor home from New York down to Loretta's and dropped off the motor home and flew to Washougal for the round 4 of the wma series. Well lets just say that I rode really good but did not get the best of starts so my finishes were not good. I finished with at 9, 8. Then I got back on a plane back to Loretta's where I was going into it very confident. I arrived to the track Monday morning at 2am and was going to wait all day for my practice. I had a few bike issues that we weren't able to find till after the first moto. I had a really fun time. I finished 6th overall, which was OK... I just want to thank my parents for helping me get to all those races. I will be back next year 100 healthy and ready...

Freestone update
Me and Charles left straight from freestone tx and drove to Colorado to get used to the altitude. We stayed and rode with a friend of our Trevor Monks 726 before the national. I came into this national with more confidence and endurance. The first moto I got a top 5 start and rode hard the whole moto and ended up getting 7th. I'm not going to lie, I got a little tired but felt kinda strong still. Second moto I got a 2nd place start and made a few mistakes in the first 2 laps and rode hard till the finish and ended up 8th. I have a month or so till the next race. Hopefully by then I will be a 100 percent. Check back in a few weeks for the next update.. Thanks.

Texas update
Texas was not a good weekend for me. It was really hot and humid but the track was in really good shape. I rode the amateur day to get some track time before the weekend. It really didn't help me for the weekend. haha For the first moto I got a good jump but got pinched off and ended up going down. Luckily I didn't kill the engine and got up and rode as fast and hard as I could and got 15th. Second moto was a lil better. I got a top 10 start that time and ran 9th for most of the moto. I got really hot and tired and fell over in a turn and got 11th over all. The highlight of my weekend was I rode my best and knew what I need to work on before the next race.

Colorado is the next wma event that I will be racing at. I have 3 weeks to work hard and put in my seat time before the next race. I have been spending some time training in Texas but am going to be riding at Colorado the week before the race.....Check back soon for more updates

Hangtown

The first round of the WMA started this weekend at Hangtown in northern California. I came into this race with no expectations on how I was going to do. I have only been riding for around 2 weeks and I knew that I was not 100 percent. I was more around 65 or 70%. Coming into this race I was really nervous and went out in practice and did most of the jumps before the other girls. My confidence at that time was pretty good. Moto 1 was not what I was hoping. I got a really bad start and made my way up to 10 in like 4 laps. I then made a mistake and stalled it and ended up going back eight spots. I was really tired at that point and managed to make my way back to 11th. Second moto was not any better. I had a good jump out of the gate and made in 6th or so around the first turn. I will make this short. I got tired and ended up getting 12 for a 11th overall.

Next weekend we head to Freestone TX for the 2nd round of the wma series. All I know is it is going to be really hot and a new track that no girls have ridden on. I will update on that race soon.

16 May 2008 ... I'm Back!!

Hey everyone... I have some good news.. well bad new for the girls I race against.. IM BACK !!!!!. I went to the doctor Tuesday the 13 and went in and the doctor came in a told me  that everything looks healed. I was so happy. So that night  got my bike ready and loaded up and went to Perris Wednesday morning. I had a good time out there. Its been so long that it seemed like I had to re learn how to ride.

Today was a better. We went and rode a Glen Helen. Wow it was rough and boy am I tired. I have been off the bike for so long that I need to work on getting my speed and my endurance back. It will come but it will just take time. Check back for more updates a little later.

16 April 2008
I'm home and doing well. I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me something that I didn't want to hear. He said that I need to wait a little longer till I can start riding. I have been working out for the past week or so and it is a great feeling. Let me tell you, its way better than laying in a hospital bed for 2 in a half weeks. I have been going to the track everyday and been watching Charles ride. I just want to again thank everybody that wrote me emails and sent flowers and all that stuff. It made the time go by faster. Hopefully I can ride soon and I will see you guys at the track...
